Types of Grass Available
Choosing the correct lawn grass for your garden is essential, and we are here to help you make the right choice. We are turf suppliers with a range of lawn-grass types available. It can often be confusing which turf is right for your garden so feel free to seek advice from our members of staff. See below for further details on our range of lawn turf.
Types of Turf
Regal is our best-selling grade due to its hard-wearing nature and dwarf-creeping rye grass. Regal turf has a good colour, a medium texture, roots quickly and is best suited to back gardens or other areas of high usage, such as football grounds.
Royal is our luxury turf product which requires regular, skilled maintenance to keep it in good condition. It’s suitable for high-quality ornamental lawns, prestige landscapes, golf greens and bowling greens.
Typical Seed Composition – Royal (without Ryegrass)
- 30% Limousine – Smooth Stalked Meadow grass
- 40% Cezanne – Slender Creeping Red Fescue
- 30% Musica – Chewings Fescue
If the health of your turf is an issue in shaded areas, Regency provides the solution. This medium-texture, low-maintenance turf is grown using grass cultivars which flourish in a shaded environment. It is grown for a minimum of 18 months before harvesting.
Regency is suitable for use in municipal gardens, shaded landscapes and lawns, all recreational areas and on golf tees and racecourses.
- Extremely high shade-tolerance
- Very aggressive with unique stoloniferous creeping ability
- Medium texture – grown for 18 months
- Exceptional wear-tolerance due to high shoot-density
